Arthur Angove, D.O.I was born in the upstairs bedroom at 604 E. Washington Ave., Albia, Iowa. Helped my dad in the coal mines, had two paper routes, helped with farm work, milked 15 cows morning and evening, rode my horse bareback to school. Sold shoes and suits at J. C. Penny’s. Distributed milk early mornings before school. Graduated from Albia High School 1951; Westmar College, LeMars, Iowa 1955; U. S. AirForce, Air Defense Command, Offutt AIr Force Base, Chief of Ground Observer Post JN54B 1953-1955. Taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics 1955-1957;graduated College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, now Des Moines University, with D. O. degree 1962 Surgical Residency in Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital, Pontiac, Michigan; Surgical Anatomy at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI 1962; General Surgeon at New Berlin Memorial Hospital, Northwest General Hospital, Lakeview and St. Joseph Hospitals Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Married Carmen Lorraine Fosberg in Rochester, MN 1954; we have four daughters and two sons. Pas of two churches in Madrid, Iowa; Bought a Cessna 310; then a C-411 to take medical/surgical teams to all the 11 Wisconsin and Cass Lake northern Minnesota native communities, Central, South American and Caribbean people.
